Nokia unveiled a new, cheaper smartphone using
Microsoft's Windows software. Last year Nokia dumped its own smartphone
software (Symbian) in favour of Windows Phone software so that is can compete
against rival companies such as Apple. Nokia said its new Lumia 610 models
price will be 189 euros (P10, 584) excluding taxes, when it is
released next quarter. It will be the first Windows operated phone to be
installed with an NFC function.
